There’s no getting away from it. As with everything else in this world the price of off-the-shelf bread is going up and up almost on a daily basis. With this in mind, I really don’t understand why more people don’t opt to bake their own home cooked bread. It’s cheaper, it tastes better, and it’s really fun to do! You can create all kinds of exciting recipes with the help of a bread maker. From standard white and brown loaves, to specialty breads like sun-dried tomato or garlic. Why not try adding fruit and nuts to your bread? furthermore, bread makers allow you to bake specialty breads like gluten or wheat free.
The machine has to mix well. The paddles have to be sturdy enough and the motor has to be strong enough to mix our heavier dough. And it has to be durable.
Does it have a gluten-free setting? This is a no-brainer, but it’s important. This setting can adjust how long it mixes the dough (to prevent air from fizzling out) to how many rising cycles we need. And if the Mesin Pengemas lacks the ability to program it, this is absolutely necessary.
If you haven’t been diagnosed as gluten intolerant and just want to try it to see if it helps your digestion that is certainly doable. A person can just avoid eating bread products and add more vegetables to their table – and that is living gluten free. A diet of grass fed beef, organic chicken, and organic veggies is a great diet. But for some, living without bread products is not an option.
For a one and one half loaf size use: three quarters plus one tablespoon of room temperature water; two large eggs; one-half teaspoon of vanilla extract; three tablespoons of butter or margarine; three and one-half cups of bread flour; three tablespoons of sugar; one and one-quarter teaspoons of salt; two teaspoons of active dry yeast or one and one-half teaspoons of bread machine fast rise yeast; one-third cup raisins; one-third cup mixed candied fruit; two tablespoons blanched slivered almonds; one tablespoon grated lemon rind.
The biggest complaint against bread foo machine was that they didn’t make loaves that looked traditional. The loaves were round or square in shape; but not any more. Remember, too, that too much salt can kill yeast – so watch your measurements there. Salt is very good for bringing out flavors, but it can also make your bread flop!
Again, if you do not make the bread right away, put the yeast in a well on top of the dry ingredients in your bread machine pan. Otherwise stir it in with the dry ingredients.
